Job description

The Camera API Test Engineer will join a highly technical team focused on ensuring the quality of camera technologies across Apple products. This role involves validating the functionality and stability of camera software, firmware, and hardware integrations. The engineer will work closely with development teams and cross-functional partners to improve camera frameworks. A passion for photography and a strong technical background are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • Solid API test development skills
  • Familiarity with Python and C/Objective-C programming
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with developing, testing, or debugging device drivers, firmware, or other low-level software
  • Experience in photography and understanding of camera technology terms
  • Experience in developing and maintaining CI systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent cross-functional communication

Responsibilities

  • Validate and elevate the quality of Apple's camera software stack
  • Work at the intersection of hardware, software, and developer experience
  • Help shape APIs that power photography and videography on Apple devices
