Job description
Join the Apple Services Engineering Data Platform team to design and build scalable data platform services used across Apple. This role involves developing high-performance systems that handle billions of transactions daily, requiring creative problem-solving skills. You will have significant responsibility and influence over critical Apple internet services. The position demands a passion for software delivered as a service, focusing on efficiency and simplicity.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data processing ecosystems
- Coding experience in Java, Scala, or Go, preferably with large-scale distributed systems
- Experience in designing and developing stateless APIs using HTTP and similar protocols
- Ability to design large-scale, complex applications with low latency and fault-tolerance
- Understanding of MPP Query Engines like Trino and Starrocks
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience contributing to Open Source projects is a plus
- Experience with multiple public cloud infrastructures is a plus
- Experience in cluster management/orchestration software like Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Helm charts, or Docker is a plus
- A learning attitude to continuously improve oneself and the organization
