The Sr. ML Optimization Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of Apple's cloud services within the iCloud services organization. The position involves collaborating with experts to develop advanced cost models and optimization strategies that impact millions of users worldwide. Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in large-scale cloud services or similar environments
- Strong software engineering background with experience in ML-based modeling and time-series forecasting
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with effective communication abilities
- Hands-on experience with platform observability tools for service performance insights
- Experience in developing cost models and strategies for software services
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience applying classical optimization techniques to real-world systems
- Demonstrable experience in capacity planning and resource optimization using machine learning
- Knowledge of machine learning pipelines and service monitoring tools is a plus
- PhD in Computer Science or related field with a focus on machine learning or optimization
