Job description

The role involves designing, developing, and deploying calibration and test instrumentation systems for Apple's products. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams during the New Product Introduction phase to ensure product success. This position offers the opportunity to impact a wide range of Apple products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electro-mechanical systems and programming skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in design, development, debugging, and validation of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Basic understanding of hardware concepts and electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Programming skills in C, C++, Objective-C, Python, or Lua.
  • Working knowledge of consumer electronics modules and digital signal processing.
  • Experience in high volume consumer electronics manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design specifications for automated instrumentation to calibrate and test Apple's products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups throughout the New Product Introduction phase.
  • Validate and deploy automated instrumentation systems.
  • Analyze, process, plot, and mine large data sets.
  • Ensure successful calibration and testing of products during mass production.
  • Manage multiple priorities across various disciplines.
