Job description
The Engineering New Product Technology Project Manager (NPT PM) at Apple's Hardware Technology Engineering Program Management Team is responsible for driving new product introduction (NPI) build management and material readiness for key technologies. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage build matrices, forecast materials, and ensure logistic readiness. The ideal candidate will be a strategic problem solver who can analyze risks and implement mitigation strategies. The position requires effective communication and a strong attention to detail.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in supply chain program management.
- Experience in build management/planning and material clear to build.
- Knowledge of configuration management and Bill of Material (BOM).
- Proficiency in Excel or Numbers and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multitask.
Responsibilities
- Drive NPI build planning activities.
- Handle build matrices for lower-level components and assemblies.
- Build strategic partnerships with internal and external partners.
- Develop risk mitigation plans and execute issue resolution.
- Run material forecasting and planning with key module and component vendors.
