Job description
This role involves being part of a team that delivers exceptional experiences across Apple's headphones and accessories, focusing on innovative features like Spatial Audio and Precision Finding. Engineers will design and implement software solutions that span from embedded firmware to system frameworks. The position offers end-to-end ownership of critical software components, allowing for direct impact on user experiences. Candidates will tackle unique challenges related to Bluetooth protocols, audio latency, and feature implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience
- Strong C/C++ programming skills with attention to code quality, performance, and maintainability
- Solid understanding of systems programming concepts such as memory management, concurrency, state machines, and event-driven architectures
- Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to address complex problems
- Experience with Objective-C, Objective-C++, or Swift
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS), embedded systems, firmware, device drivers, or low-level system software
- Knowledge of real-time audio or wireless technologies
- Passion for product ownership and a track record of delivering features end-to-end
