The Camera Image Quality Validation Engineer will be part of the Camera Architecture team at Apple, focusing on designing innovative camera technology for Apple products. This role involves evaluating, benchmarking, and characterizing camera products to ensure exceptional image quality. The engineer will collaborate with various teams across Apple to drive the development of next-generation camera solutions. A strong understanding of image quality metrics and hands-on experience in optical labs are essential for success in this position.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optics, Color Science, or equivalent.
• Experience with Matlab and/or Python programming skills.
• Experience working in an optical lab.
• Experience with bench or tester automation of data acquisition.
• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Optics, Color Science, or equivalent with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Deep understanding of image quality metrics and evaluation methodology.
• Experience with deep learning for image segmentation, object recognition, and abnormal detection.
• Familiarity with camera components and functions.
• Experience with camera ISP pipeline and 3A.
• Experience with megapixel CMOS image sensor technology, lens selection, and qualification.
• Experience with objective camera bench testing and subjective image quality analysis.
