Job description

The role is for an experienced Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to join the Apple Vision Pro team, focusing on product definition, system engineering, and integration of a new product category. The EPM will collaborate with various engineering teams to develop optimized hardware products while ensuring a strong product and customer focus. This position requires a deep understanding of consumer electronics and the ability to navigate complex development processes. The ideal candidate will drive critical product decisions and manage cross-functional teams effectively.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of relevant hardware engineering experience in consumer electronics
  • 3+ years of project management experience managing cross-functional teams across various program stages
  • Strong technical background in Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering
  • Understanding of consumer electronics system architectures
  • Proactive and highly self-motivated with good critical thinking capabilities
  • Willingness to travel internationally to support development builds

Responsibilities

  • Drive the cross-functional development of requirements and validation plans at product, system, and module levels.
  • Identify critical questions and organize teams to find efficient solutions.
  • Communicate the impacts of technical decisions on customer experience clearly and concisely.
  • Resolve architectural and integration gaps to inform subsequent engineering builds.
  • Establish a daily build plan and provide clear direction to vendors and contract manufacturers.
