Job description
The Cloud OS System Software Team is seeking a skilled software engineer to enhance and maintain the core infrastructure of data center environments. This role involves building and integrating software to orchestrate workloads across efficient systems, focusing on optimizing OS performance and scalability. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to adapt software for a novel compute platform and contribute to the future cloud architecture. Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- Proficiency in C/C++, Obj-C, or Swift
- Strong knowledge of OS architecture and low-level system components
- Excellent communication skills
- Solid understanding of Linux or Apple OS system programming
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Enhance operating system performance, scalability, and reliability
- Build and maintain system software such as runtime libraries, frameworks, and daemons
- Utilize hardware acceleration for machine learning and high performance computing workloads
- Partner with teams across Apple to tailor and scale software on a novel compute platform
- Ensure seamless operations for large-scale distributed systems
