The Engineering Manager will lead a team focused on enhancing Apple's cloud infrastructure systems. This role involves maintaining critical platforms that support Apple's cloud ecosystem, impacting efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Requirements
- Proven experience leading backend engineering teams, with a focus on infrastructure, platform, or distributed systems.
- 3+ years of people management experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in languages such as Java or GoLang.
- Deep understanding of large-scale distributed systems and infrastructure platforms.
- Experience building and operating mission-critical systems at scale.
- Proficiency in database design and management (SQL and NoSQL).
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of distributed systems, networking concepts, and infrastructure as code.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence without authority.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Experience driving technical strategy and roadmap planning.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team responsible for maintaining and enhancing critical cloud infrastructure platforms.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, product, SRE, and platform teams to ensure system reliability.
- Drive the roadmap for next-generation capabilities in cloud infrastructure.
- Build strong partnerships and mentor diverse talent within the team.

- Context-switch between strategic planning and tactical execution as needed.
