The Privacy Compliance Engineer position at Apple focuses on ensuring privacy compliance within the Wallet, Payment, and Commerce Engineering team. This highly technical role requires expertise in managing privacy in complex environments, particularly in relation to GDPR and other privacy regulations. The engineer will collaborate with technical experts and legal counsel to analyze systems and processes, ensuring they meet privacy requirements. This position demands strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years assessing project and product privacy risks and recommending mitigating controls.
- 5+ years of privacy framework experience including HIPAA and GDPR.
- 5+ years creating privacy assessment templates and administering privacy assessments with project and product teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or commensurate experience.
- Familiarity with security and privacy standards such as SOC, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA, and EU AI Act.
Responsibilities
- Work across Apple Pay product lines to ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Participate in discussions on the technical design and implementation of new privacy requirements.
- Analyze existing systems and processes against privacy requirements and architect necessary changes.
- Develop relationships and work effectively with different teams at all levels regarding technical, policy, and business concerns.
- Administer privacy assessments and create templates for project and product teams.
