As a Quality Engineer on the Mail & Calendar Services team, you will contribute to critical infrastructure projects that support Apple employees' communication and scheduling needs. Your primary focus will be ensuring the reliability and correctness of Apple Corporate Mail and Corporate Calendar Server implementations. This role involves applying deep testing expertise and building sophisticated automation frameworks to validate data integrity and system behavior. You will work at the intersection of quality engineering and distributed system testing, enabling internal collaboration platforms to scale and evolve.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, test automation, or software testing roles
- Demonstrated deep expertise in email systems or calendar systems with strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in Python or Java with experience building test automation frameworks
- Experience establishing data integrity verification procedures
- Demonstrated ability to write and maintain automated test plans suitable for CI/CD integration
- Experience in both email and calendar domains is ideal but not required
- Background in enterprise email administration or server operations
- Proficiency in both Python and Java testing ecosystems
- Experience with large-scale data migration projects or high-availability calendar services
- Deep knowledge of RFC specifications related to email and calendar
- Experience with complex temporal logic or complex state machines
- Familiarity with Apple ecosystem technologies
- Experience testing distributed systems or protocol-level implementations
- Track record of building reusable test tools and frameworks
- Contributions to open-source testing or related projects
- Experience with iCalendar manipulation frameworks
Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability and correctness of Apple Corporate Mail and Corporate Calendar Server implementations.
- Design validation strategies and build sophisticated testing tools.
- Provide the final sign-off for changes affecting thousands of corporate users.
- Apply deep testing expertise across email and calendar server standards and use cases.
- Build automation frameworks that set high standards for validation of data integrity.
- Contribute to the scaling and evolution of Apple's internal collaboration platforms.
