Job description
As a Reliability Engineer for the Wireless Design group at Apple, you will focus on driving reliability requirements across multiple wireless vendors. Your role will involve reviewing and auditing reliability test plans, leading failure analysis, and assessing field exposure risks. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that all silicon and package qualification test requirements are met. This position requires both domestic and international travel to vendor sites for audits and assessments.
Requirements
- BS degree and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
- PhD is highly desirable for this role
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
- Collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively cross-functionally
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience in Consumer Electronics
Responsibilities
- Review all vendor reliability test plans during the product life cycle
- Ensure that silicon and package qualification test requirements are met across all wireless vendors
- Audit domestic and international vendor sites on a periodic basis
- Drive failure analysis at the vendor in the event of a reliability failure
- Assess field risks through statistical analysis of reliability failure rates
- Define and execute reliability tests and assess reliability performance
- Drive vendors for Design of Experiments and Failure Analysis
- Perform risk assessments and maintain in-depth knowledge of industry test standards
