Job description
As a SoC Test Engineer in the Silicon Technologies group, you will play a crucial role in designing and manufacturing high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC) devices. Your work will ensure that Apple products can efficiently handle tasks that delight millions of users. You will be responsible for crafting and debugging automated test equipment (ATE) programs and hardware, contributing to the characterization, qualification, and production of SoC devices. This position requires collaboration across various functional areas and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 10 years of experience.
- Strong programming skills for writing and debugging test programs and hardware development.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PERL and high-level languages like C/C++ or Visual Basic.
- Deep understanding of ATE testers and test programs.
- Experience working on digital VLSI SoC.
- Expertise in semiconductor test methodology.
- Deep understanding of electronic engineering fundamentals, design for test, and manufacturing concepts.
- In-depth knowledge of the semiconductor manufacturing process.
- Understanding of the semiconductor product life cycle.
- Ability to work with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Willingness to travel.
Responsibilities
- Develop and document test plans for new devices.
- Design and debug test software and hardware.
- Debug new silicon.
- Provide quality and efficient test solutions for mass production.
- Coordinate test-related activities with both internal and external groups.
- Evaluate new products' testability and operability.
