Job description
The role involves designing, developing, and launching next-generation Touch Technologies for Apple products. The Touch Technology team focuses on creating cutting-edge solutions that enhance the multi-touch user experience across various devices. As an analog ASIC architect, you will analyze applications and develop optimal analog front end architectures for touch and sensing ASICs. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the designs meet overall product requirements.
Requirements
- BS and a minimum of 20 years relevant industry experience
- Experience developing and launching high volume IC designs
- Strong electrical engineering background in analog circuit design
- Experience in system-level design, requirements documentation, and IC micro-architecture definition of complex mixed-signal ASICs
- Experience with IC bring-up and debug
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Verilog, or similar simulation, design and modeling tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Direct experience with touch technology and/or flat panel display technology is beneficial
- Ph.D. and a minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience
Responsibilities
- Architect Touch sensing systems and the ASICs required to realize them
- Take high level user requirements and create a realizable system that meets these goals
- Perform high level modeling of proposed solutions
- Create detailed specifications of the requirements
- Collaborate with others to identify critical aspects of design interactions with the overall product
