Job description
The Media Applications Engineering team at Apple is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the design and implementation of the AVKit framework and system media user experiences across Apple's products. This role involves collaborating with various design and engineering teams to develop new features and APIs for both internal teams and third-party developers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent communication skills, contributing to the creation of high-quality media experiences that reach billions of customers. The position requires a deep understanding of media, framework development, and UI engineering.
Requirements
- 10+ years of programming experience, preferably in Swift, Objective-C or C
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated technical or managerial leadership experience
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Deep knowledge of Operating System design and concepts
- Proficiency developing with SwiftUI, Cocoa or other application frameworks
- Expertise in triaging and resolving complex bugs
- Excellent understanding of optimization and performance issues across OS software layers
Responsibilities
