The Graphics, Games & Machine Learning (GGML) team is seeking a Machine Learning Test and Automation Engineer to contribute to the development of next-generation Apple Intelligence software features. This role involves close collaboration with software developers and cross-functional machine learning teams throughout all project phases. The focus is on creating innovative approaches to validate complex machine learning systems while ensuring quality and performance. The engineer will design scalable test solutions for both on-device and distributed inference, impacting millions of users while maintaining their privacy.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 4+ years of proven experience in Software Quality Assurance
• Proficiency in Swift or Python
• Familiarity with XCTests/Xcode
• Experience building scalable automated test frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch
• Understanding of the complete model development lifecycle, including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring

• Collaborate with GGML software developers and cross-functional ML teams during all project phases
• Design and build scalable test solutions that validate both on-device and distributed Apple Intelligence inference
• Develop functional and performance tests that ensure the correctness, reliability, and performance of inference runtime software
• Push systems to their limits to deliver fast, efficient, and trustworthy ML-based experiences across Apple's ecosystem
