Job description
The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at Apple will focus on developing and implementing innovative manufacturing processes for next-generation Mac products. This role requires a seasoned leader who will drive automation innovation from concept to mass production while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. The engineer will bridge the gap between design and manufacturing, pushing the limits of advanced manufacturing capabilities. A strong emphasis will be placed on precision assembly and automation equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering role with automation equipment.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 30-35%.
- Strong work experience in precision assembly, inspection, and automation equipment.
- Knowledge of machine qualification requirements and failure analysis.
- Familiarity with GD&T principles.
- Experience with NX, SolidWorks CAD, or ProE is a plus.
- Understanding of optics principles related to CCD cameras and lasers.
- Basic knowledge of liquid adhesives and VHBs is a plus.
- Solid understanding of robotics, pneumatics, and control systems.
- Experience with MP, Minitab, and Six Sigma.
