Job description
The Apple Service Engineering (ASE) team is looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to enhance compute infrastructure for Apple's services. This role focuses on ensuring that services scale effectively to meet the demands of Apple's offerings. You will work with top engineers on core components of Apple's Cloud Platform, emphasizing VM lifecycle management and bare metal infrastructure. The position also involves leveraging AI tools to improve operational workflows and infrastructure tooling tailored to SRE practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, an engineering-related field, or equivalent related experience.
- 8+ years in a Site Reliability Engineering Infrastructure focused role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong experience with building and scaling cloud infrastructure and large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with OpenStack, KVM/hypervisor technologies, and Kubernetes.
- Highly proficient in Go or Python.
- Experience managing, scaling, and troubleshooting at a planet scale.
- Expert-level proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Chef, Ansible, or Terraform.
