Job description
The Bluetooth Quality Engineering team is seeking a motivated Tools & Automation Engineer to enhance macOS connectivity solutions. This role involves designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining innovative technologies that improve user experiences on Apple products. The engineer will work closely with development teams to ensure quality and address issues effectively. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to gather requirements and implement automation features.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience in defining test plans and creating test cases based on technical specifications and feature requirements.
- 2 years of experience in validating and testing products with domain expertise in Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC, Audio, or Wireless RF protocols.
- 1 year of experience in developing testing scripts using Python, Perl, or other programming languages.
- Experience with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins is a plus.
- Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Build creative solutions for testing current and next generation products.
- Drive quality and champion bug fixes while working closely with the development team to analyze root causes of issues.
- Design comprehensive test plans for new features, considering technical details and customer experience.
- Develop test automation scripts using Python and maintain reports of all automation issues and test results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement automation feature requests.
- Bring up, perform regular maintenance, and debug test setups and scripts.
