Job description

The RFIC Design Engineer will be part of a dynamic team focused on developing innovative wireless connectivity solutions for Apple's products. This role involves crafting RFIC solutions for wireless SoCs and driving them to mass production. The engineer will collaborate with various product development groups to enhance the performance of wireless systems. The position requires a deep understanding of analog and mixed-signal design to transform user experiences at the product level.

Requirements

  • BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Deep understanding of analog design concepts such as noise, linearity, and stability.
  • Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre RF, Matlab, and EM simulation tools.
  • Direct experience in mass production of wireless transceivers in deep sub-micron RFCMOS technology.
  • MSEE or PhD with relevant industry experience.
  • 10+ years of RF/analog and mixed-signal design experience in RF CMOS design.
  • Familiarity with RF transceiver architectures and their trade-offs.
  • Proven capability to work with digital design groups for optimal partitioning.
  • Familiarity with integration flows and challenges of wireless SoCs.
  • Extensive experience in silicon characterization and debug.

Responsibilities

  • Provide RFIC solutions for wireless SoC and drive them to mass production.
  • Architect, develop, and validate radio transceivers integrated into wireless SoCs.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to push the boundaries of wireless systems.
  • Contribute to the design of high-performance wireless systems including LNAs, PAs, and data converters.
  • Drive strong production test and QA methodologies.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life.
