Job description
The Video Engineering Image Quality (VEIQ) team is focused on ensuring exceptional video quality across various Apple products, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro. We are looking for a Camera Video Quality Engineer who excels in lab quality test automation and real-world video quality verification. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The engineer will play a vital role in enhancing our camera video quality through rigorous testing and analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in subjective and objective image quality evaluation.
- Familiarity with ISP pipeline and 3A evaluation.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as Python and C/C++.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Use imaging lab to run objective IQ metrics.
- Conduct real-world camera video quality verification.
- Identify IQ issues and perform initial analysis and triaging.
- Participate in IQ evaluation for new features and algorithms, providing feedback to engineering teams.
- Analyze, reproduce, and isolate video quality issues from both lab and real-world testing environments.
- Stay updated on camera benchmark evaluation and testing results.
