Job description
As a Software Engineer on the Apple Watch Safety & Communications team, you will leverage your engineering skills to enhance the user experience of Apple Watch products. This role focuses on developing features related to safety, such as Crash Detection and Fall Detection. You will collaborate with various teams, including Design and Quality Assurance, to ensure a reliable and polished product. Ideal candidates are passionate about technology and safety, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of related experience in software engineering.
- Excellent coding ability in Swift and Objective-C.
- Ability to learn and work with various programming languages and technologies.
- Experience contributing to at least one shipping application or framework.
- Knowledge of operating systems and inter-process communication.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product features.
- Take ownership of the development and quality of watchOS and iOS safety features.
- Ensure timely completion of projects to specification.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Adapt to new technologies and programming languages as needed.
