This role is part of the SOC Silicon Validation team, focusing on system-level validation and software development for high-speed IO IP blocks. You will collaborate closely with various teams including SiVal, FW, Architecture, and Design. The main objective is to define validation plans, debug SOC issues, and coordinate testing efforts. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation processors and systems-on-chip for Apple products.
Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 10 years of relevant industry experience in silicon validation software engineering or a related field.
- Experience with embedded systems is required.
- Familiarity with SoC and system architecture.
- Knowledge and experience working with board schematics.
- Experience using test equipment and analyzers such as USB, PCIe, DP, and I2C is required.
- High knowledge and experience with high-speed interfaces including USB-PD, USB2.0, USB3.0, Thunderbolt 3, USB4.0, PCIe, or DP is required.
- Proven experience in silicon bring-up, debugging, validation, and characterization.
- In-depth understanding of PHY design, architecture, adaptations, and equalization techniques.
- Strong hands-on software programming skills with a focus on embedded systems, with proficiency in C programming being essential.
- Skilled in scripting, preferably in Python, to automate testing and data analysis.
