The Performance Engineer will join the Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems organization, contributing to the optimization of software design for Apple's latest products. This role is part of the Connectivity Firmware Performance team, focusing on software design testing and optimization from early prototypes to productization. The engineer will devise performance evaluation methodologies and analyze logs to recommend software design improvements. A strong background in RF, Digital, and Wireless communications is essential for success in this position.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Programming experience in C or C++.
- Experience working with wireless sniffers and protocol analyzers.
- Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience using data science libraries.
- Experience with power and performance trade-off analysis.
- Strong understanding of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Thread, or related protocols.
- Research or work experience in using AI/ML towards wireless problems.
- A Master's or PhD or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Drive optimization of software design for Apple's products.
