Job description
The Datacenter Systems Architecture team is seeking a skilled computer systems or technology architect to lead the design of new products. This role involves providing architectural guidance and leadership to cross-functional engineering teams, focusing on system architecture for datacenter platforms. The candidate will leverage their expertise in server design to enhance product performance while managing trade-offs in size, power, and cost. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Core competence in architecting servers for general purpose compute or specialty compute systems.
- Strong technical breadth across several computer subsystem technologies.
- Experience in defining physical architecture solutions for complex server system designs.
- Understanding of schematics, PCB layout & designs.
- Strong analytic, verbal, written, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical architectural guidance and leadership to cross-functional engineering teams.
- Lead the solutions for delivering physical architecture solutions for datacenter platforms.
- Drive physical architecture investigations for product system integration options.
- Author system architecture specifications and conduct reviews with product teams.
- Analyze and support thermal management solutions and trade-offs.
- Anticipate future SoC requirements and negotiate with internal teams.
- Explore and champion new product-level features and workflows.
- Mentor junior engineers to best practices and data-driven processes.
