Job description

The Optoelectronic Test Development Engineer will be part of the Camera Semiconductor Technologies group, focusing on the research, design, and development of test hardware for mass production environments. This role involves calibrating, characterizing, and testing semiconductor photonic devices for Apple products. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test algorithms and hardware solutions. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage external suppliers effectively.

Requirements

  • BS degree in a relevant field
  • 3+ years of experience working with semiconductor optoelectronic test, such as lasers, image sensors, displays, or LEDs
  • Experience managing external suppliers to deliver hardware solutions
  • MS or PhD degree is preferred
  • Demonstrated capability to work with international teams and lead global suppliers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Some knowledge and understanding of computer vision techniques, such as image processing
  • Experience with high level, scientific computing languages like MATLAB or Python
  • Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation and bench-level components, including lens components, SMUs, spectrometers, colorimeters, and metrology cameras
  • Work experience in a wafer fab environment
