Job description
In this role within the Battery Engineering group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing battery monitoring and management units for next-generation consumer electronic products. The team focuses on creating innovative battery technologies that enhance energy efficiency and product performance. You will collaborate with various product development groups to push the boundaries of battery capabilities. This position requires a strong background in electronics design and a passion for developing cutting-edge solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field of study
- 10+ years of proven experience with a Master's in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field of study
- Experience in analog and/or power electronics design
- Experience in electronic circuit design and development with mixed signal systems
- Background in Power Electronics, Battery Management, Portable Consumer Electronics, Medical Electronics, or Automotive Electronics
- Experience with high volume manufacturing
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Shell, Unix, or MATLAB for test automation and data analysis
- Understanding of the silicon manufacturing process and semiconductor devices is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Design electronic circuits for battery monitoring and management units
- Produce detailed design analysis for battery management systems
- Select electronic parts and integrated circuits to meet performance targets
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop custom parts as needed
- Design test methodologies to verify battery management unit designs
