Job description

The Display Image Processing Algorithms Architect role at Apple involves working with state-of-the-art technologies in a collaborative environment. The position focuses on developing algorithms for color and tone management, as well as image and video processing for various Apple products. You will collaborate with display and SoC architects, design teams, and software teams to create seamless user experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of digital signal processing and color theory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with color, tone, image, and/or video processing algorithms and prototyping them in Matlab/Python/C/C++.
  • MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Color Science with 20+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to abstract image and video processing problems mathematically and develop competitive algorithms.
  • Deep knowledge of digital signal processing and its applications to image, video, and display processing.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work across groups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design algorithms and architectures related to color and tone management.
  • Develop state-of-the-art algorithms for image and video processing.
  • Collaborate with architecture, design, and software teams to enable features on Apple products.
  • Take features and algorithms from concept to shipping products with an understanding of hardware and software implications.
