This role is part of the Manufacturing Design team at Apple, focusing on leading the development of quality processes for new parts. The position involves defining quality, metrology, and process requirements while contributing to the design of new manufacturing processes. Quality engineers in this role will partner with various teams to ensure the mass creation of innovative products. The emphasis is on developing measurement technologies and quality inspection tools to maintain high standards.

• 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience, supplier management, and quality control.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering such as Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing/Systems, or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience developing process quality plans and conducting supplier quality audits.
• Working knowledge of mechanical quality and reliability concepts.
• Experience with the development and evaluation of measurement systems.
• Project management experience and understanding of problem-solving tools.

• Partner with tooling and functional teams to evaluate design and processes at the concept phase.
• Develop measurement technologies, control strategies, and manufacturing methods for production scale.
• Implement groundbreaking quality inspection tools for evaluating part characteristics.
• Compile and evaluate data to determine limits and variables for specifications.
• Lead activities to balance quality with scalable yields.
• Collaborate with internal and external groups to define quality expectations.
• Coordinate and prioritize Quality Engineering functions for multiple programs.
• Establish audit procedures to ensure alignment with Apple quality standards.
• Evaluate and communicate yields of new and existing processes.
• Drive corrective actions with team members.
