  • Understanding of the physics behind the mechanical and electrical properties of materials.
  • Exposure to failure analysis techniques and materials characterization tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel internationally without restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Set test specifications and drive procurement and qualification of critical equipment for validation of design reliability.
  • Assess reliability by executing stress testing and analyzing the resulting data.
  • Provide direction for failure analysis to understand root causes of failures.
  • Collaborate with the design team to determine corrective actions.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, including activities at third-party vendor sites overseas.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
