As a Staff or Sr. Software Engineer focused on Developer Experience, you will shape how engineers build with Apple's internal ML Compute platform. You will design and evolve tools such as Python SDKs and CLIs, enhancing the user experience for thousands of engineers. The role involves collaborating with a diverse team to improve interactions with the platform and streamline workflows. Your work will directly impact the usability and power of machine learning capabilities across the company.

- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Experience with JavaScript/React and web-based developer tools
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows, terminology, and common pain points
- Experience with Kubernetes, observability tools, or developer documentation
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve tools that enhance the developer experience on the ML Compute platform.
- Work closely with users to understand their challenges and gather feedback.
- Prototype solutions rapidly to address user pain points.

- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers to build technology that powers machine learning capabilities.
Benefits
- Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
