The ASIC Digital architect will play a crucial role in the Touch Technology team at Apple, focusing on the design and development of advanced touch sensing systems and ASICs. The architect will analyze applications to optimize digital designs for cost and power efficiency, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with overall product designs. A strong background in electrical engineering and experience in chip architecture are essential for success in this role.

• BS degree and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
• Experience leading chip architecture and/or digital design, preferably in touch or communications
• Experience developing and launching high volume IC designs
• Strong electrical engineering background in embedded system design, including ASIC microarchitecture and SoC architecture
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Verilog, or similar simulation and design tools
• Ph.D. and a minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience is a plus

• Architect touch sensing systems and the required ASICs to realize them
• Analyze applications to create cost and power optimized digital designs
• Develop high level models of proposed solutions and create detailed specifications
