Job description
The Health Sensing HW team is focused on developing innovative health sensors that enhance customer wellness. The sensor engineer will work on optical sensors and health sensing features, collaborating with various teams across Apple. This role involves sensor and algorithm development, addressing performance and power tradeoffs, and adapting to diverse operating conditions. The engineer will play a crucial role in delivering optical-based health features for Apple's wearable devices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong software development skills, with proficiency in Python.
- Knowledge of circuits and sensors.
- Familiarity with signal processing.
- Experience in firmware development and knowledge of the hardware/software development cycle.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering, including noise modeling and integrated circuits.
- Experience with sensor interfacing, signal conditioning, and signal-to-noise analysis.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative and willing to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced technology development environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop optical sensors and health sensing features.
- Collaborate with internal and cross-functional teams to address challenges involving sensors and algorithms.
- Support health sensing features through sensor and algorithm development.
- Evaluate performance and power tradeoffs across multiple generations of hardware.
- Design and deliver optical-based health features for wearable devices.
