Job description

The Software Engineering Manager for High Performance Networking at Google is responsible for leading a team of engineers and managing large-scale projects across multiple locations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
  • Experience with RDMA, high-performance computing and programming in C or C++.

Responsibilities

  • Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals.
  • Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
  • Develop the mid-term technical goal and roadmap within the scope of multiple teams.
  • Design, guide, and vet systems designs within the scope of the broader area.
  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
