Job description
The Cellular RF Hardware Design Engineer will be part of Apple's RF Hardware Design team, focusing on the design, development, and optimization of radio frequency hardware circuits for wireless communication devices. This role involves working from the initial concept phase through to mass production, ensuring innovative RF performance. The engineer will face unique challenges and contribute to groundbreaking products that enhance customer experiences. Some travel may be required for this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experience with radio hardware design and/or RF component design
- Familiarity with the challenges of development for high-volume manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with RF circuits and hardware on the lab bench
- Understanding of core technologies and physics that drive innovative RF performance
- Proficient in wireless communications standards and market trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven track record of working in a dynamic multi-functional team
- Well organized and flexible in a changing work environment
- Experience with cellular handsets
- Experience with RF simulation tools such as ADS, HFSS, and Matlab
- Experience with Python for test setup automation and data analysis
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize RF hardware circuits and systems for wireless communications devices
- Develop and integrate cellular radio platforms from initial concept to mass production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges in RF hardware design
- Conduct hands-on testing and validation of RF circuits in the lab
