The Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer for Server Hardware at Google will be part of a team that develops custom silicon solutions for Google's products. This role focuses on designing, building, and optimizing test platforms for Google compute, storage, and machine learning servers at global manufacturing partners. The engineer will collaborate with the New Product Introduction (NPI) team to define test requirements and improve manufacturing test processes. This position requires a strong background in test engineering and a commitment to driving efficiency and quality in product testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering experience.
- 8 years of experience in manufacturing or Test Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of experience developing and integrating manufacturing test hardware using custom electronics, fixturing, or instrumentation.
- Experience coding in Python, Bash, or Shell scripting to generate product-specific test plans.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, optimize and deploy test platforms for Google compute/storage/ML server at global manufacturing partners.
- Collaborate with the NPI team to define design for test (DFT) requirements and provide input to Manufacturing Test Strategy.
- Deliver caliber Manufacturing Test Engineering support for new and existing products.
- Drive initiatives to improve test process efficiencies, improve test coverage, and reduce cost.
- Analyze, troubleshoot and determine root causes of manufacturing yield issues and data center field escapes.
