The Software Engineer role focuses on developing infrastructure and data solutions for Google's Ads Platform. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in Java, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks.
- Experience with generative AI technologies, large language models (LLMs), and building engineering productivity tools.
- Experience managing production systems, including efficiency measurement and system optimization.
Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code using Java to build highly scalable backend storage infrastructure.
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and cross-functional stakeholders to drive the direction of AI-driven tools.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices for massive-scale distributed databases.
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content for external developers and adapt content based on user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues related to bulk schema changes and debug by analyzing the sources of issues.
