The Lead UX Researcher for Google Home will join a multi-disciplinary UX team to gather insights and create innovative products that enhance user experiences in the home. This role focuses on understanding user needs through various research methods, including usability testing and ethnography. The researcher will advocate for user empathy and collaborate with engineering and product management teams. The mission is to develop technologies that make homes more helpful and caring for their inhabitants.

• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in an applied research setting or similar.
• Experience with research design utilizing methods such as usability studies, contextual inquiry, and surveys.
• Experience with interviewing, planning, and usability testing.
• Experience in data analysis.
