Job description
The Staff Systems Architect role at Google focuses on developing custom silicon solutions that enhance the performance of Google's direct-to-consumer products. As part of the Silicon System Architecture team, the architect will leverage their expertise in system architecture to influence the design of System-on-a-Chips (SoCs) and system software. This position requires collaboration with various teams, including Google Research and Pixel, to create innovative hardware experiences. The role aims to push the boundaries of technology, ensuring seamless integration and efficiency in computing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with Mobile/Embedded SoCs.
- 8 years of experience with system architecture.
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is preferred.
- Experience with processor core architectures such as ARM, x86, RISC-V, etc.
Responsibilities
- Influence hardware decisions through thorough analysis of system and first-party software.
- Collaborate closely with Google Research, Pixel, and Software teams to deliver product differentiating experiences.
