Job description
This role is part of the Silicon Engineering group, focusing on SOC power optimization automation. The candidate will work with a team to apply engineering fundamentals and innovative ideas to enhance SOC power efficiency. Responsibilities include exploring machine learning methodologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy automation solutions. Strong communication skills are essential for interfacing with various groups.
Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
- MSEE is preferred.
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and programming is necessary.
- Familiarity with scripting in Python is required.
- Familiarity with ASIC power analysis and optimization is essential.
- Familiarity with SOC design flow and methodology is required.
- Familiarity with Verilog and System Verilog is necessary.
- Familiarity with computer architecture, logic, and circuits design is required.
- Familiarity with signal processing is a plus.
- Silicon power measurement experience is a plus.
- Experience in SOC power modeling, low power design, and power optimization is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work with SOC power team members to automate power analysis and optimization tasks.
- Explore new methodologies to analyze power data and create power metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
- Drive an automated approach to improve SOC power efficiency across IPs.
- Explore machine learning approaches to optimize SOC power and collaborate on training data preparation.
- Research ML-based solutions for power simulation, optimization, and modeling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy power optimization automation.
- Review results and improve methodologies on efficiency and runtime.
