Job description

In this position, you will work with a team that develops SOCs for Apple devices, focusing on high-speed serial interface signal integrity and power integrity. Your responsibilities will span from silicon to package to board, ensuring optimal performance. You will collaborate with circuit design teams and vendors to enhance system design through modeling and simulation. This role requires a strong understanding of signal and power integrity issues in high-speed interfaces.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree.
  • PhD in a relevant field is preferred.
  • BS and 5+ years or MS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Familiarity with signal and power integrity issues of high-speed serial interfaces.
  • Experience with product package/board design and analysis.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment such as VNA, TDR, real-time scope, and spectrum analyzer.
  • Strong fundamentals in 3D/2D EM simulation tools and transmission line theory.
  • Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work on the electrical and physical design of high-speed serial interface systems.
  • Conduct electrical extraction and validation of package and PCB.
  • Collaborate with circuit design teams and vendors to optimize circuit and system design.
  • Perform SI and PI modeling, simulation, and characterization of high-speed serial interfaces.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate signal and power integrity.
  • Work with product engineering and system engineering to debug and improve product yield.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
