Job description

The Software Development Engineer will join the Business Integration Testing team at Apple Ads, focusing on end-to-end validation and automation for advertising experiences. This role combines software development skills with rigorous testing, particularly leveraging AI to enhance validation processes. The engineer will work on building tools and frameworks that improve quality and developer productivity across various platforms. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in designing and maintaining test automation tools and frameworks for testing entire software application stack.
  • Strong coding skills in Python or Java.
  • Ability to stay updated on emerging technologies like AI/ML and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
  • Experience building automation for end-to-end scenarios across web, mobile, or device platforms.
  • Experience with test frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium.
  • Familiarity with iOS or mobile testing environments.
  • Strong problem solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge on distributed computing systems like Hadoop, HDFS, and Hive.
  • Good understanding of database connectivity and data access.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

  • Build and extend end-to-end automation frameworks for ad delivery across web, mobile, and device platforms.
  • Develop tools for the full lifecycle validation from ad creation to ad rendering on device.
  • Evaluate existing automation systems and introduce AI-driven solutions to accelerate test execution.
  • Partner with engineering teams to define validation coverage and ensure high-quality feature delivery.
