JobsGraphics (GPU) Design Verification Engineer
Job description
In this role, you will be part of Apple's Silicon Engineering group, specifically within the GPU Shader Core team. Your focus will be on developing power-efficient, high-performance graphics processor microarchitectures for mobile devices and personal computers. You will collaborate with various disciplines to define and deliver cutting-edge features for Apple's Unified Shader Core. This position requires a strong foundation in computer architecture and programming to ensure the delivery of innovative products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or computer science field with coursework in Computer Architecture
- Experience with C++ or a similar Object Oriented programming language
- Experience with Verilog or other HDLs
- Master's degree with Advanced Computer Architecture coursework covering superscalar or OOO execution
- Familiarity with GPU or SIMD architectures
- Familiarity with verification methodologies like UVM/OVM
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Perl
- Experience debugging highly complex logic designs or Object Oriented software
- Experience with HDL simulators and waveform viewers
Responsibilities
- Modify and maintain UVM-based verification test bench components and environments
- Modify and maintain Object-oriented functional models of the underlying design
- Develop comprehensive constrained random test suites
- Run simulations and debug design and test environment issues
- Create and analyze functional coverage, enhancing the test environment to target coverage holes
- Work with GPU µArch and Design teams to clarify features and improve design specifications
