Job description
The Cellular System Engineer role at Apple involves working on modem systems features and requirements as part of a dynamic system engineering team. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in cellular communication systems.
- Knowledge of cellular communication standards including 6G, 5G NR, and 4G LTE.
- Deep knowledge of communication system theory and signal processing.
- Experience with Matlab, C/C++, and/or Python for algorithm development.
Responsibilities
- Be a key member of the system engineering team working on modem systems features.
- Conduct pre- and post-silicon bring up and validation of end-to-end cellular systems.
- Map systems algorithms and requirements to hardware and firmware architecture.
- Perform simulation and emulation-based validation of control flows and PHY/L1 algorithms.
- Design algorithms for signal estimation, detection, and RF impairments correction.
