Job description

As a WSoC integration and validation engineer, you will focus on the integration and optimization of physical layer components in wireless communication systems. Your role will involve chip-level bring-up and the implementation of Digital Signal Processing algorithms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the performance, compliance, and reliability of wireless connectivity solutions. This position requires extensive experience in wireless communications, particularly in PHY layer design and integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proven experience in wireless communications with a focus on PHY layer design and integration.
  • Solid understanding of DSP concepts and experience with implementing DSP algorithms in real-time systems.
  • Experience with chip-level bring-up and hardware debugging tools.
  • Experience with PHY/RF/MAC Verification.
  • Experience with RF parametric testing such as EVM, ACPR, Rx sensitivity, and blocker testing.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and DMMs.
  • Python programming skills are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of wireless protocols such as Bluetooth, WLAN, and UWB.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate and optimize physical layer components in wireless communication systems.
  • Conduct chip-level bring-up and implement Digital Signal Processing algorithms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless performance of wireless connectivity solutions.
  • Perform PHY/RF/MAC Verification.
  • Conduct RF parametric testing including EVM, ACPR, Rx sensitivity, and blocker testing.
  • Utilize lab equipment for testing and validation purposes.
  • Debug hardware issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Apply verification skills in problem solving, constrained random testing, and debugging.
