Job description
Apple is seeking a talented software engineer for the Core Networking team to lead the architecture and development of next generation networking technologies. This role involves designing and enhancing operating system networking components across various Apple products. The engineer will focus on developing innovative systems firmware for TCP/IP Networking on co-processors, ensuring power and thermal efficiency. The position also includes mentoring junior team members and leading cross-functional design efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent networking software development experience.
- At least 5 years of real-time embedded software (firmware) development experience.
- Proficiency in C or C++ on resource-constrained embedded platforms.
- Experience with Embedded Operating Systems or Micro Kernels such as Embedded Linux, QNX, VxWorks, or L4.
- Experience with Networking stack implementations including BSD, Linux/Android, Solaris, lwIP, sevenstax, or mbedTLS.
- Familiarity with link-layer technologies such as Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Cellular.
