Job description

The RFIC Layout Engineer will be a vital member of the Wireless SoC Radio Team, which focuses on designing highly energy-efficient CMOS radios. This role involves researching and designing components for next-generation wireless technologies, ensuring they are ready for high-volume production. The team is responsible for a variety of RF, analog, and mixed-signal blocks, including amplifiers and data converters. The position requires expertise in advanced CMOS technology nodes and a strong understanding of layout techniques.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree
  • Experience in custom RF/analog layout for radio transceivers
  • Extensive knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS
  • High level proficiency in interpretation of CALIBRE DRC, ERC, LVS in FinFet Technology
  • Knowledge of CADENCE layout tools
  • Scripting skills in PERL or SKILL

Responsibilities

  • Research and design RFIC components for wireless technologies
  • Ensure designs are optimized for high-volume production
  • Apply layout techniques for device matching and minimizing parasitics
  • Understand and implement advanced process effects in designs
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance design efficiency
