Job description
The GPU Performance Analysis Engineer will play a crucial role in designing and manufacturing high-performance, power-efficient GPUs within Apple's Silicon Engineering Group. This position involves analyzing performance issues and collaborating with architecture and verification teams to ensure that Apple products meet their performance and power goals. The engineer will contribute to micro-architecture specifications and help tackle complex performance challenges. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and innovative problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with Verilog, C, and C++
- Experience with scripting in Python
- Experience in computer architecture, GPUs, or memory hierarchy design
- Experience in characterizing performance and debugging performance issues
- Experience with GPU design is a plus
Responsibilities
- Analyze unit and system-level performance issues
- Quantify the performance benefit of features and algorithms implemented in hardware or software
- Conduct studies and contribute solutions to performance challenges related to GPU design
- Participate in micro-architecture specification and RTL logic design in the GPU team
