Job description
This role is part of a premier design team at Apple responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and integration of the baseband system for all Apple products. The position requires a strong understanding of computer system architecture and digital design, along with proactive collaboration with cross-functional engineering groups. The team focuses on the digital and power management domain of wireless chipsets, ensuring excellence and innovation in product development. Candidates should be prepared for some international travel as part of their responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals
- Experience with schematic capture, layout design, and review
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with mobile platform system design and integration
- Experience with voltage regulators, LDO, and switch mode power supplies
- Experience with high-speed and low-speed digital interfaces such as PCIe, SPMI, I2C, and UART
- Bench-level design verification experience with high-speed oscilloscopes
- Signal and power integrity simulation experience with tools like Matlab, PowerSI, SIwave, and HFSS
Responsibilities
- Design and implement the baseband system architecture for Apple products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Apple SoC, battery, and sensors
- Maintain a firm grasp of the entire product landscape outside of wireless design
- Ensure the integration of digital and power management domains in wireless chipsets
- Participate in the product development process from concept to announcement
